BREAKOUT A

The Water-Energy Nexus

Water is crucial for human existence. Clean water and sanitation services depend on reliable energy to provide these critical services for customers across the region, and saving water saves energy. Along with resilience measures for reliable operation, this panel will consider the relationship between water used to generate and transmit energy, and how much energy it takes to collect, clean, move, store, and dispose of water. The panel will also consider the water-energy-food relationship in regard to resilience.
